Introduction

Hi everyone, and welcom to my first Mind-Dump.

A Mind-Dump is basically where I spew out all my current thoughts on an issue or a group of issues all in one hub. Of course it will be organised for ease of reading, but be aware that I intend to share a lot of information and the hub may be long.

Today's topic is LGBT issues. As you know, it's a topic that I have personal experience with, as well as a lot of gathered information. I hope that something in here will be useful to somebody.

An Overview of Sexuality Through The Eyes Of A Girl Who Doesn't Fit

Sexuality is a big word. Within the confines of society's views of sexuality, we have three categories, Acceptable, Unacceptable, and Sometimes Acceptable.

Within these categories are subcategories. Under Accetpable, you have Straight, Frigid, Shy, and Unsure. In the Unacceptable category, you have Gay, Asexual, Prudish, and Horndog. Sometimes Acceptable is the big one, because these are disputed categories or categories that depend largely upon your anatomy to define whether it's OK or not. These sub-categories are Bisexual, Pansexual, and Very Active.

Let's take a look at these categories and subcategories.

Acceptable Sexualities

Naturally we'll start with the acceptable categories.

First, you have Straight. This is self-explanatory. These are cisgender men who are attracted to cisgender women and vis-versa. This is the most acceptable of all the acceptable categories.

You also have Frigid, which is different from Asexual. A Frigid person has sexual feelings, but ignores them in favour of gains in other aspects of life. They may occasionally indulge in sex, but it is breif and functional, just like everything else they do. Next topic.

Shy people are people who would like to be Straight, and feel attractions like Straight people, but they have hang-ups about their body or are afraid of getting caught having sex if they aren't married. They will indulge, but only if they are VERY CAREFUL. They giggle around sexual topics brought up by friends and avoid talking about their activities.

Unsure people are pretty sure they have Straight feelings, but they might not have them, and often they look into Unacceptable or Sometimes Acceptable sexualities, but just can't decide. Usually they eventually find a category, sometimes doing so removes them from the Acceptable side of the fence.

Unacceptable Sexualities

Before I get started with this, I just want to say, I have no earthly idea WHY these sexualities are unacceptable. They just are. That's society, and try as I might, I just can't seem to change it. Maybe it's all those pride parades, with people partying around instead of focusing on the issue, which is fighting for rights? I don't know, but that seems to be the likely reason. Pride parades aren't the issue here though, I might discuss them later in the hub, space allowing.

Let's start with Gay. Gay people are attracted to people of the same sex or gender as they are. Simple as that.

Asexual, which is TOTALLY seperate from frigid, is when a person has no sexual feelings at all. They may engage in sexual activity because it is expected of them, but they do not feel any desire or need for sex. They may have romantic partners, but it is for the sake of having someone to love rather than having someone to fuck.

Prudish is when a person doesn't have sex because of moral, religious, or other abstract reasons. They are prudes because they are not getting any, and it is out of choice. Everyone between the ages of 16 and 60 should be having sex and if you are denying yourself then you are prudish. Don't worry, I was raised Catholic and therefore I was a Prude during high school too. I saved myself for marriage and have only ever had one sexual partner. I think I made the right choice, but most of my friends don't. Whatever. Next topic, please.

Horndog is a sexuality where the person is sleeping around with anyone who offers, and the person will usually constantly talk about sex, or their most recent conquest. It differs from very active, which I will explain later, because as a Horndog, people generally ONLY think about sex. Brain functions have, based upon my observations of these types of people, been taken over by the genitals.

Sometimes Acceptable Sexualities

This one is the BIG issue. Sometimes acceptable...Well, let's take a look.

First, you have Bisexual. This one is acceptable ONLY if you are a cisgender woman and have a cisgender man as a partner, whom you allow to watch as you have sexual relations with another cisgender woman. It is instantly Unacceptable if you are Trangender or if you are a cisgender man. Pretty self-explanatory...if a Straight cisgender man can get off on your sexcapades, then it's all good.

Pansexual is much like Bisexual, except that it involves transgender people as well, and possibly others. I don't understand this one very well, no one can really give me a clear answer on what Pansexual really is. If I can get some clarification I will expand this section.

Very Active is when you get lots of straight sex, but you are a little more active than the average Straight person. This is acceptable only if you are a cisgender man. If you are a cisgender or transgender (Pre and post op) woman, or if you otherwise have a vagina (Transmen who cannot afford bottom surgery and intersex persons), then it becomes unacceptable and is renamed to Being A Whore.

Why don't I fit?

Some people don't want to lable themselves. I know I've taken a humourous stance with this hub, it wasn't my intention when I started out. But I think I've shown what happens when you try to put lables on everything.

I don't lable myself partly because I don't want to, and partly because I simply *don't* fit. I am not a lesbian, I am not bisexual or pansexual, or anything else I mentioned. I am simply a woman in love. I happen to be in love with a transgender woman. We are married and we are quite sexually satisfied, thank you very much.

There is such a push to lable yourself all the time, and there is no need for it. Gay or Straight, God made us all and he did so in His image. When it comes down to it, aren't we all just people in love? Aren't we all *People*?

Thanks for putting up with me

If you read this far, your really are amazing. I plan to continue the mind dump later, in other hubs.

All photos in this hub were taken by me, except the one with me in it which was taken by my father-in-law, and used for it's humour. It's a really bad pitcure that I wouldn't send to my mother, but I figured all of you would like it.

See you later.

Very well-written and interesting. I love all the great information. I kind of know where I fit in, haven't really thought of it much. But this hub is a very good read.
